Abstract


Latar Belakang: Beberapa studi menyatakan Bisphenol A (BPA) membahayakan kesehatan manusia. Dibandingkan dengan orang dewasa, anak-anak cenderung lebih rentan terhadap paparan bahan kimia. BPA berpotensi membahayakan otak, menyebabkan gangguan perilaku, serta mengganggu sistem hormon yang berakibat buruk pada kesehatan fisik dan tumbuh kembang.
Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau pengaruh BPA terhadap perilaku anak.
Metode: Artikel-artikel yang digunakan dipilih dari basis data PubMed, Google Scholar, ProQuest, and Ebsco. Basis datayang diterbitkan dengan rentang waktu 1 Januari 2010 sampai dengan 30 September 2020. Kata kunci untuk penelitian ini meliputi "Bisphenol A" atau "BPA" dan "paparan" atau "pengaruh" dan “perilaku anak”.Artikel yang muncul di halaman pencarian kemudian disaring kembali menggunakan filter jenis artikel. Jenis artikel yang digunakan adalah artikel penelitian (research article). Artikel yang terkumpul kemudian diseleksi kembali dengan menggunakan kriteria inklusi, yakni: 1) tujuan artikel menganalisis pengaruh BPA terhadap perilaku anak, 2) merupakan penelitian cohort dan cross-sectional, serta kriteria eksklusi, yakni 1) bukan merupakan artikel full text, 2) artikel yang tidak menggunakan bahasa inggris.
Hasil: Setelah proses pencarian berdasarkan kata kunci, didapatkan sebanyak 5.276 artikel dari seluruh basis data yang digunakan, kemudian dilakukan seleksi artikeldan terpilih 9 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria. Variabel independen yang dibahas adalah pengaruh BPA. Variabel dependen yang dibahas yakni perilaku anak.
Simpulan: Paparan BPA di masa anak-anak berkaitan dengan tingkat kecemasan, depresi, hiperaktif, kurangnya perhatian, serta masalah perilaku yang lebih tinggi.
