Author Guidelines

The minimum standard requirements of Avicenna : Journal of Health must be

  1. Written in Indonesia or English.
  2. The length of submitted paper is at least 6 pages and no more than 20 pages. Editors will be evaluated if the papers are needing more pages than 12 pages.
  3. Recommended to use of a tool such as Mendeley or EndNote for reference management and formatting, and choose APA style
  4. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the Manuscript Template

The manuscript must be prepared and suggested present follow the structure:

  1. The title is written in English with a maximum of 20 words.
  2. The author’s identity is written under the title, which includes name, affiliation, and correspondence address, phone number and e-mail.
  3. Abstract is written in English with a maximum of 200 words. The ab­stract should be one paragraph covering introduction, aim, method,results, and conclusion with a maximum of 5 (five) keywords separat­ed by comma.
  4. Introduction contains background, brief and relevant literature reviewand the aim of study.
  5. Method includes design, population, sample, data sources, tech­niques/ instruments of data collection, data analysis procedure, and ethics.
  6. Results are research findings and should be clear and concise.
  7. Discussion should properly and argumentatively define results of study with any relevant theory and prior finding.
  8. Tables should be single-spaced and numbered consecutively in accor­dance with presentation in the text. Figures, pictures, or formula should be original. Ensure that each illustration has a caption. Supply captions separately, not attached to the figure. A caption should com­prise a brief title (not on the figure itself) and a description of the il­lustration. Keep text in the illustrations themselves to a minimum but explain all symbols and abbreviations used. Then, for resolution, rasterized based files (in .tiff extension) require a resolution of at least 1000 dpi (dots per inch). Line art should be supplied with a minimum resolution of 1000 dpi. Tables and/or figures should be no more than 6 (six) as presented in Result.
  9. Conclusion and Recommendation (if any), should answer problems of study not exceeding the capacity of finding. Recommendation should refer to the aims and conclusion in form of narration, be logical and effective.



Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format. Conform to standard of Jurnal Kebidanan Indonesia : Journal of Indonesia Midwifery Manuscript Template, and the text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  3. The length of the submitted paper is at least 10 pages and no more than 6 pages. Editors will evaluate if a paper is needing more than 20 pages
  4. Abstract has a maximum 150-200 WORDS; No citation; State in the abstract a primary objective, research design, methodology, main outcomes and results, and the conclusions.
  5. Section structure: Introduction - Method - Results and Discussion – Conclusion
  6. References expect a minimum of 15 references primarily with a minimum of 60% to journal papers. It used a tool such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for reference management and formatting, and have chosen the APA style.

The Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, copyright of the article shall be assigned to Avicenna : Journal of Health as publisher of the journal. Copyright encompasses rights to reproduce and deliver the article in all form and media, including reprints, photographs, microfilms, and any other similar reproductions, as well as translations.
